A graphic, high-contrast warm/cool duotone built for elevated transit and urban night scenes -- amber light pools held warm and saturated against a cooled, teal-leaning blue-black base. Rather than lean on one of the Fujifilm simulations with a built-in "flavor," Emberline starts from PROVIA/Standard, the cleanest and most faithful base in the lineup, and does the work through white balance, tone, and color chrome instead.

Fujifilm X100V In-Camera Recipe

  • Film Simulation: PROVIA/Standard -- clean, faithful base that lets the WB/tone grading do the work rather than a built-in color cast

  • Dynamic Range: DR400 -- needed to hold both the near-black sky and the hot platform/light sources in one frame

  • Highlight Tone: -2 -- pulls down the brightest light pools so they read as glowing rather than blown

  • Shadow Tone: +2 -- deepens shadows toward a graphic near-black rather than lifting them

  • Color: +2 -- a touch more saturation than neutral, to hold the amber/teal duotone with punch

  • Sharpness: 0 -- standard, the grain and contrast do most of the textural work

  • Noise Reduction: -2 -- leaves some texture in, consistent with a higher-ISO night exposure

  • Grain Effect: Strong, Small -- a more pronounced grain than this archive's daylight recipes

  • Color Chrome Effect: Strong -- deepens and controls the saturated amber light pools without clipping

  • Color Chrome FX Blue: Strong -- deepens the teal-cyan structural accents and the blue-black sky

  • White Balance: Auto, R: -2 / B: +4 -- cools the ambient base so warm light sources read as a deliberate accent

  • ISO: Auto (200-6400)

  • Exposure Comp.: -1 to -1 1/3 -- underexposes to protect the light pools and deepen the black sky

Lightroom / RAW Equivalent

This preset translates the same warm/cool duotone into adjustable RAW parameters -- a graphic, higher-contrast treatment than this archive's softer night recipes, built to hold a punchy amber-vs-teal split even on source photos that weren't shot after dark.

  • Profile: Adobe Color

  • Exposure: -0.35

  • Contrast: +28

  • Highlights: -55

  • Shadows: +10

  • Whites: -8

  • Blacks: -18

  • Temperature: -12

  • Tint: +4

  • Vibrance: +10

  • Saturation: +4

  • Clarity: +18

  • Dehaze: +6

  • Vignette: -20

Tone Curve

A deepened S-curve: blacks pulled down further than usual for a graphic crush, with the upper-mid/highlight region lifted to keep the light pools glowing rather than flat.

HSL / Color Mixer

  • Red Hue: 0, Red Saturation: -5

  • Orange Hue: +5, Orange Saturation: +15 (amber light pools pushed warmer and richer)

  • Yellow Hue: +8, Yellow Saturation: +10 (holds the sodium-vapor-style amber cast)

  • Green Hue: -10, Green Saturation: -20 (suppresses stray green from mixed urban lighting)

  • Aqua Hue: -10, Aqua Saturation: +20, Aqua Luminance: -5 (pushed toward teal, deepened)

  • Blue Hue: -15, Blue Saturation: +15, Blue Luminance: -15 (deepens the night sky, pushes it toward teal-blue)

  • Purple Hue: 0, Purple Saturation: -10

  • Magenta Hue: 0, Magenta Saturation: -10

Split Toning

  • Highlights Hue: 40, Highlights Saturation: 15 (amber/orange glow)

  • Shadows Hue: 195, Shadows Saturation: 12 (cyan-teal cast)

  • Balance: -15 (favors the shadow tone slightly, since the frame is shadow-dominant)

Detail

  • Sharpening: Amount 55, Radius 1.0, Detail 30, Masking 15

  • Noise Reduction: Luminance 18, Detail 50, Contrast 10, Color 30, Color Detail 60, Smoothness 50

Calibration

  • Red Primary Hue: -5, Red Primary Saturation: +5 (pushes red toward amber/orange)

  • Green Primary Hue: -10, Green Primary Saturation: -10 (tames a sodium-vapor green cast)

  • Blue Primary Hue: +10, Blue Primary Saturation: +10 (pushes blue toward teal/cyan)

These settings reproduce a graphic, high-contrast warm/cool duotone characteristic of elevated transit and urban night scenes -- a starting point for further creative adjustment. White balance is left as-shot on the Lightroom side; dial in coolness per scene, or match the camera recipe's WB shift (R-2/B+4).
